• We are getting ready for our spring recitals, June 7-9 at Spring Lake Park High School.  Tickets can be ordered by filling out a ticket order form and bringing it to the studio.  

• Great job at Legacy, Showstoppers, and Midwest Starz competitions, dancers!  Next up:  Eclipse competition at the National Sports Center in Blaine, May 16-19.

Metro Dance Center

Serving the Twin Cities Area for 30+ Years

Established in 1976, Metro Dance Center has taught hundreds of students in the Twin Cities metropolitan area.  We offer both recreational and competitive dancing in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, musical theater, pointe, and lyrical styles for students of all ages.

Metro Dance Center History

At Metro Dance Center, we have a history of creating a family-friendly environment where dancers can learn new skills, make new friends, and have fun!  Opened in 1975, the studio is currently run by Danielle Wood-Twohy (business manager) and Becky Jacobs (Lead Artistic Director). 

We have many experienced staff members, many of whom were once students here at the studio who have returned to share their love of dance with children.  Our competition lines consistently earn top honors at local competitions in the Twin Cities area.  For the past two summers, the studio has put on a musical theater show at the St. Paul campus of the U of M.  Students who have participated in the shows have enjoyed the experience of performing dances to a story.  This past summer, the students gave several performances of "Peter Pan".
